Annual Turkey Trot Offers Way To Give Back on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time for being thankful and giving back to the community. That’s the inspiration behind the annual Turkey Trot in Henderson, Ky. The 5K run/walk is held every Thanksgiving morning in downtown Henderson.

This year the walk will be held Thursday, November 24. Registration is from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. The race starts at 9:00 am at Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Washington and Main Streets.

Entry donation is a free will offering or a $25 donation, which includes a t-shirt. Donations go to the trot benefactor, Brain Injury Adventure Camp (BIAC). BIAC is a non-profit organization that provides activities and education to persons suffering from a traumatic brain injury.
